Start here.

Is this free?

Yes. The skill is free. There is no fee and recoupr does not take a cut of your insurance money.

Do I need an account?

No. You load the skill into the AI assistant you already use. recoupr has no account for you.

Where do my documents go?

Your documents go into your own AI assistant under that assistant's terms. They never pass through recoupr.

Which AI assistants work?

Claude, Gemini, Grok, ChatGPT, Muse and other assistants that can use a skill file, a Markdown file or a pasted prompt.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is the itemized record your therapist gives you for a session. It carries the provider, service, code and payment details used to prepare a claim.

What if my therapist is in network with my insurer?

If your therapist is contracted with your insurer, that contract decides how the claim is filed. This skill is for out-of-network care.

What if my insurer is not listed?

Use the insurer's own member claim page and form. The insurer's current instructions always win over the skill.

How long does it take?

The filing time depends on your documents and the route your insurer uses. After you submit, use any processing time published on your insurer page and keep tracking the claim.

What if they deny the claim?

Add the EOB or denial letter. The skill helps you read the reason, decide whether it needs a correction or an appeal, and draft the appeal from your records.

Can you file it for me?

No. The skill prepares the packet. You review and submit every item yourself.

Why not use a paid filing service?

They charge by the claim while your deductible is still unmet, their benefits checks are estimates, your money can route through them, and your therapist gets registered with insurers. The skill does the same work for free and nobody is in the middle. Read why recoupr.

Is this legal, medical or billing advice?

No. It is software that helps you organize information and prepare documents. Your insurer's own page controls.

Who made this?

recoupr made it. Read why on the About page.
